Frequently Asked Questions
Q?
How much do you charge?
A.
Every project is unique, and without certain information a question such as “what do you charge for a corporate identity?” is difficult to answer.
Initially, we need to discuss your requirements, quantity and timing. We take into account broader background information which may have a bearing on the nature of the solution.
We carefully consider the available budget and base our costings on an estimation of the time required to achieve the agreed outcome. Before starting work, we’ll present you with a detailed proposal that states a fixed fee for the project.
We then seek your feedback and await your approval.
Q?
Why don’t you charge on an hourly rate basis?
A.
Our approach at Mixedmeans is to determine costing on a fee-for-project basis - not an hourly rate at the outset of the job - so you know exactly how much you will pay. This unique approach makes us highly competitive and stands as an important point of difference.
Q?
Can I make changes to my website when it’s finished?
A.
Yes you can. All our websites are driven with a CMS engine. At mixedmeans, we are in the business of empowering our clients and keeping them.
Q?
How much do I need to be involved?
A.
You can be as involved as you want to be. Once we have completed your website, you can add and delete content at will. The less our involvement the less it the cost in labour. Many of our clients dont need our help, until they want a new functionality installed on their website. Some of our clients agree on a monthly retainer and we help them on a daily basis. Their involvement is zero in the production of the site. The only communication we have with such a client is by phone or email.
We do not push you one way or another. You are welcome to have your own comfort level with the involvement with your website.
